The GW School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) promotes international collaboration and encourages alumni of international institutions to apply for a graduate program at GW SEAS through the Preferred International Partnership Program. This program is designed for motivated students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a partner institution within five years preceding or in the year following their application to a SEAS graduate program.
Students from preferred partner institutions will receive the following benefits:
- GW SEAS will waive the graduate program application fee for each student from a preferred international partner institution applying to an on-campus master’s degree program at GW SEAS.
- GW SEAS will confirm admissions decisions within 2 to 4 weeks of the application deadline, provided that the application is received and completed by the application deadline for the fall or spring semester.
- GW SEAS will consider applicants from preferred partner institutions for merit-based scholarship awards. These scholarships may include but are not limited to tuition awards ranging from $10,000-$30,000 USD per year for up to two years of full-time graduate study at GW SEAS. Applicants who receive scholarships will be notified on their admissions letter.
- Students who enroll in a graduate program from a preferred partner institution will be invited to participate in the SEAS Graduate Career Connection Cohort program while they are completing their studies at GW SEAS. This program is administered and facilitated by career coaches and staff from the GW SEAS W. Scott Amey Career Services Center. The Career Connection Cohort program will provide students with additional career-oriented programming, workshops and events each semester along with specialized guidance and access to career coaches.
Students from preferred partner institutions are required to apply by completing and submitting GW’s standard graduate student application and supporting documents. Fee waivers are available by emailing [email protected]. For information regarding MS program admissions requirements visit the following website: graduate.seas.gwu.edu/ms-admissions-requirements
Requirements of Preferred Partner Institutions:
Preferred partner institutions are expected to advertise and promote GW SEAS graduate programs to their current students and assist with facilitating in person and/or online information sessions throughout the year.
Subject to available funding, GW SEAS will consider providing financial support to encourage faculty collaboration between GW SEAS and preferred partner institutions in the form of guest faculty lectures or potential short-term training opportunities.
