Summer English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

If your admissions letter states that you are required to take an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course during your first semester at GW, you have the choice of taking EAP during Summer Session II (generally the beginning of July through the middle of August) or during the fall semester.

Please note: EAP is not offered during Summer Session I.

If you choose to take Summer EAP, you must take either EAP 6110 or 6111. This option requires you to demonstrate additional funding on the Visa Request Form.

In order to enroll in Summer EAP, you must first accept your admissions offer by clicking the "Reply to Offer" button in your admissions letter and sending an email to [email protected] requesting to take Summer EAP.

Once your acceptance has been processed and your email has been received, you will receive an email within 1-2 business days from our office with further instructions to obtain your I-20 or DS-2019.

For more information about EAP coursework, please visit the English for Academic Purposes Program website.
