The Global Funding Initiative offers master's program applicants from Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, and Vietnam up to $20,000 in tuition coverage per academic year at GW. It is available on a limited and competitive basis and cannot be combined with other funding offers from GW.
To qualify for the Global Funding Initiative, you must:
- Be a citizen of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, or Vietnam.
- Require an F-1 visa to study in the United States (other visa types do not qualify).
- Apply and be admitted for a master's program at the School of Engineering & Applied Science for the Fall semester.
- Have demonstrated exceptional academic performance during your undergraduate (bachelor's) program (3.0 GPA or higher).
How to Apply
To be considered for the Global Funding Initiative, submit an application to a master's program at SEAS.
On the application form, there will be a question asking whether you would like to be considered for the Global Funding/Fellowship Initiative. Please check 'Yes' and proceed to complete and submit your application.
During the application review process, all applicants who requested consideration will be evaluated based on the applicant pool from each country. Upon selection, applicants will be notified in their admissions letter of their acceptance and offer of funding with the amount awarded.
