CS professor among "inspiring women in STEM," Provost Lerman to join SEAS post-sabbatical

This week, GWToday published two articles relevant to SEAS:

  • SEAS Professor Among 100 'Inspiring Women in STEM': Professor Rachelle Heller, who teaches computer science, was named one of its "100 Inspiring Women in STEM" by INSIGHT Into Diversity Magazine. The award recognizes and honors women who inspire and encourage a new generation of young women to consider STEM careers. Congratulations, Dr. Heller!
     
  • Provost Lerman to Step Down: On Wednesday, Provost Steven Lerman stepped down as provost of George Washington University. He will remain in his role until the end of 2015. Following a year-long sabbatical, after which he will return to GW as a faculty member at SEAS in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. Best of luck, Provost Lerman!
